TRON

What is TRON and what is Tronix (TRX)?

TRON aims to build a content subscription and push-based methodology for content creators. Using blockchain technology and distributed storage, TRON is forming a decentralised content entertainment ecosystem. Users of the coin TRONIX can freely publish, store and own data. In other words, TRON aims to be a peer-to-peer version of iTunes or Google Play Store.

As mentioned before, TRONIX is the native currency of the TRON ecosystem. TRX is Ethereum-based token and it will be used to facilitate data sharing in the TRON ecosystem. For example, someone might send Tronix tokens to a video publisher in order to gain access to their latest content release.

TRON aims to create a better distributed entertainment industry. At the moment, the entertainment system is ruled by services like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Google. All of the previously mentioned companies take a substantial cut from the profits generated by the content creators. By making use of the blockchain technology, TRON hopes to make content publishing more profitable and censorship free.

However, TRON has a long way to go. The final stage of the TRON project is scheduled to start in September 2025. Only time will tell whether their chances of success are realistic.

TRON’s Team

Tron’s CEO is Justin Sun, who has been named on the 2017 list of Forbes Asia 30 under 30. He is the protege of the founder of Alibaba Group, Jack Ma, and has an impressive history of achievements. One of Sun’s most notable achievements is the creation of Peiwo APP, a gaming app with over 10 million users. The app will be the first to implement TRX tokens to pay for content, which could give TRON a head start in the marathon for mass adoption.

The rest of the TRON team includes over a dozen of experienced web developers, as well as, several influential business leaders and angel investors.

In conclusion

Tron is an exciting project. It’s a clear case where decentralisation is in theory, superior than the contemporary system.  Moreover, the idea of introducing censorship-resistant content in China is very significant.

Hopefully, all of TRON’s potential will eventually be realised and the internet and the world will be a better place for content creators.
